You remember Dr. Carter, right? She has lots of great ideas but often resists commercialization. Recently, she’s made it clear that she can get on board when it’s the right fit.
An environmentally conscious company expressed interest in Dr. Carter’s biodegradable plastic technology and her environmentally friendly ice melt. Dr. Carter initially scoffed at the idea, calling this company “Greedy Greenwashers”.
You had a great learning convo with Dr. Carter and realized she had some very valid points. She suggested a different company, who you approached. Thankfully, they were even more interested.
Negotiations took place over a number of months. All the key points were discussed and agreed upon.
Or so you thought.
While you await draft documents from the company, you get an email from your contact there. They say the company decision makers didn’t approve and so it’s “back to the drawing board” on several key issues.
You’re shocked (amongst other feelings).
What do you do?
